P8: Present the new product proposal to stakeholders
Here I am conducting a pitch presentation to a board of stakeholders.
P9: Explain analysed feedback for project feasibility
Here is the feedback I was given after presenting my pitch to the stakeholders board.
While reviewing my feedback, the stakeholders giving me feedback had a few things to say about my product, with overwhelming positivity, how ever there was some criticism. Here I shall talk about that below.
The first board member to give me feedback, suggested to think sponsorship and partnerships with things like the government and the NHS going forward with my app as a way to develop the app and pay for some of the things I might struggle to pay for myself. The second board member giving me feedback told me to think about how it could link in to location to further improve to efficiency of my app to refer people to the shops near them and how near certain shops are. The fourth board member suggested I shorten the target audience and start small to nail it down and build my way up to appeal to everyone. He said I should split the target audience into many different time segments of your life, to focus on even more parts about what would help them, for instance someone who doesn't know how to cook and people in universities, should have a segment that teaches them the beginnings of the information and suggests a recommends salads and healthy things to go with the meal you are currently having and tells you where you can get it cheap, slowly developing the knowledge of the user on preparing cheaper but also healthier meals. And Instead of one app that appeals to all, have a family of apps that each appeal to their own specific target market. The final board member recommended that I create a flat plan to show how my app is going to look and how it may function.
Most useful points
I think that all the points given to me were useful for advice and further development onto my ideas, however, the two best points that I should consider are the location tracking, and the point about split audiences for different things in the app. The reason I think that using location as a way to tailor shops to the user is good is because not only does it makes the consumers job easier in knowing where there is a certain store, it means the app can look at the different shops available to you in your area and find the cheapest price using this information. I also think the split audiences is a good idea as it means I can expand on different ideas depending on what stage of life someone is in, and can create sister apps and have a family of apps focusing on different things, one could be on how to cook, another could be on the environment, branded by the "Future" part of the name.
Looking at what I could do to further my ideas and improve in the future would be creating a flat plan of my app like one of the board members requested of me. If I was to go about this, I would use this style of flat plan to plan out the first designs of my app.
