P2: Create a proposal and client documentation to support the pitch
I created examples of what my magazine covers could look like and used a template to help put it all together on a PowerPoint document. I researched similar products online to get inspiration for my cover ideas and came up with the common layout over the three front covers below. I gathered lots of images I thought would suit the theme of my magazine and chose the best ones to go on the cover examples. The way that my covers will help my pitch to the clients is that it allows them to visualise my product better by seeing potential visuals of my magazine and seeing how they would look on paper. This way, the client has an idea of what the product may look like and isn't left clueless.
My covers meet the brief as it is appealing to the target audience of 18-30 year olds of the YouTube and Instagram generation by giving them the feeling of an independent product. It also isn't a traditional publication which will attract their curiosity more, with it's unique design and one of a kind topic base that reaches this gap in the market with precision.

I created examples of what my magazine spreads could look like and used a template to help put it all together on a PowerPoint document. I researched similar products online to get inspiration for my spread ideas and came up with a different layout over the three page spreads below. I gathered lots of images I thought would suit the theme of my magazine and the story the spreads held, and chose the best ones to go on them. The way that my spreads will help my pitch to the clients is that it allows them to visualise my product better by seeing potential visuals of my magazine and seeing how they would look on paper. This way, the client has an idea of what the inside of product may look like and isn't left clueless.
My page spreads meet the brief because they appeal to the target audience as they contain content that they would want to consume, content that is unique, gives the feeling of independence and is different from the content in traditional publishing. It would also be worded in a way that 18 - 30 year olds would easily understand.

To make the proposal, I had to use PowerPoint, like with the magazine covers and magazine spread ideas, this is so I could use a grid template to aid the layout of my proposal and make it as effective and as professional as possible. I used a previous draft proposal to help formulate my points and to include as much detail as possible. I added visual aid to the text by including a nice font and I also included images to help bring out the proposal and keep it from seeming boring, they also help to visualise my ideas. I think a proposal is an important part of pre-production as it helps to show you have thought a lot about your ideas.
My proposal appeals to the brief because I showed considerations for different parts of the brief such as the target audiences, Bauer media, etc. This is important because the brief asks that I include all of these points in the actual pitch to make sure I have as much detail covered as possible, and all important areas are talked about and explained.

P3: Create a pitch to communicate an idea to the client
Here is the presentation document I created for my Pitch presentation to the client. I made this based on what I had written for my proposal while including the cover ideas and sample spreads.
