Newscorp (as shown on the right) has 11 board members. I also found out that Newscorp Australia claims to have 7 of the top ten newspapers in that country, and owns the most sold weekly and Sunday papers, while reaching over 7.2 million Australians a month (left) |

P2: Explain the media platforms used for news distribution
Here I will be presenting ways in which news is distributed using clear and relevant examples of technology, which will include all traditional and modern, digital methods.
Referring back to my mind-maps in P1, news in the media is mainly distributed in four areas: TV, Radio, Online (online news blogs and papers, and social media) and of course, printed (newspapers and magazines). There are also different ways of distributing these four areas, making it easier for the public to see the news. The biggest example is apps. The apps can be apps of the official news providers like the BBC news, The Guardian, The Daily Mail etc. or can be citizen journalist apps. A citizen journalist is an unofficial news provider and does not work for any company, but still provides news. However they only provide news online, usually in blogs and social media, but some have apps or only use apps, one example of this is Appy Geek. An example of a citizen journalist group is We Media.
